August will be a busy month at LBA Studios. Several week-long sessions with different artists, which seems to be the new norm... probably because of the pricing. Also, LBA Studio's will be getting some equipment upgrades, which have been long awaited. First is a new LBA 1401 Analog Plate Reverb, which will be replacing the old version 1 VOG plate reverb. The reverb upgrade is pretty significant - the old verb sounded quite impressive, but the 1401 verb is absolutely superior in a more organic sounding way. Also coming in August will be another 2 channels of LBA 1401 Mic preamps (Rev A). There's already a 1401 Stereo mic preamp in use at the studio, and it gets a LOT of use, but the new "Rev A" will be gladly welcomed with its improved power supply, greater output volume, sweeter tone and extra features. The equipment upgrades are going to be a great addition to the studio, but physical acoustic upgrades to the live room will also take place. These upgrades in the live room are going to be the final installment of a series of improvements aimed at drastically improving the sound of the live room. The new floating floor from earlier this month made a huge improvement! I can't wait to finish things off in the room - its already sounding excellent!! :)
