The studio will be officially open for business in March, although with some temporary rules. Masks must be worn by all in the control room, and distancing should be practiced when possible. No more than 4 people/band members at a time will be permitted into the studio. Anyone sick should avoid coming to the studio.
That said, I've been making moves to acquire new (and old) gear for the studio to expand its capabilities. I have plans for the next few months to improve the room acoustics in a few key areas. I also plan to invest $8000 into a multi-track analog tape machine. I recently picked up a few oddball microphones, a couple guitar pedals, a Sony 1/4" reel-to-reel, and a Tascam dual cassette recorder. I also built a new tube guitar amp, rebuilt the hammond organ's electronics, and made some new Trinity channel strips for recording. One plan for this year is to improve the headphone distribution system for recording. Lastly, I'll be completely rebuilding this website. There will be new photos, a walk-through video, simpler pricing system, and new audio examples.
